Each new project is a challenge because every customer is unique and as the customer, your needs define the job we customise for you. This is one of the basic principles of our work.

All of our translation projects are undertaken by specialised professionals who always translate into their mother tongue. For large projects, we provide the support of an experienced project coordinator you can consult and who will determine your special needs and requirements through person-to-person communication.

HOW DO WE WORK?

Intertext ensures the quality of its translations through 5 actions:

1
ANALYSIS OF EACH TEXT TO ASSESS ITS DIFFICULTIES/DEMANDS

This analysis is essential to choosing the most suitable translators and proofreaders in terms of their specialisation and linguistic ability.

2
SELECTION OF THE MOST SUITABLE RESOURCES (TRANSLATORS AND PROOFREADERS) FOR QUALITY TRANSLATIONS AND PROOFREADING JOBS FROM THE TECHNICAL AND LINGUISTIC POINTS OF VIEW
A quality translation is usually the outcome of teamwork and different proofreading processes. The selection and combination of translators and proofreaders in accordance with their quality indicators (specialisation, style, exhaustiveness in proofreading, etc.) is decisive.
3

SYSTEMATIC REVIEW OF ALL TRANSLATIONS BY A SECOND NATIVE TRANSLATOR (THE ‘FOUR-EYES’ PRINCIPLE)

Review by a second native professional is a central control instrument in our quality workflow.

4
FINAL INHOUSE CHECK (SPELLING, INTEGRITY, FORMAT AND FIGURES, AS WELL AS TERMINOLOGICAL CONSISTENCY CONTROLS)

The final inhouse checks we run are a last safety device prior to delivering the text to the customer. They cover all of the formal aspects mentioned above, as well as statistical controls using quality-assurance computer tools.

5

CORRECT MANAGEMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF TRANSLATION DATABASES (MEMORIES) AND TERMINOLOGY DATABASES

All our translations (except where the original is an image) are entered in a database (translation memory) so we can use them again and create a body of reference material for your future translations. Reuse can have a positive and immediate impact on costs (discounts for repetition; see the financial section). It also enables us to control stylistic and terminological consistency across all texts and to create a unified corporate language.
As our name suggests (“Intertext traducción y documentación multilingüe”), we not only translate texts but use a documentary approach to our work, understanding that all texts form part of a whole.

The company’s key pillars are customer satisfaction and a quality bar set at the highest level. These basic principles are carried over to all levels of managing our projects, which are subject to constant control.

We take managing continuous improvement very seriously because it is the only way to include new experiences and know-how into our processes and prevent mistakes in the future. Our work is grounded on structured processes, with work instructions and checklists under continuous development.

Our project management is supported by our proprietary management software, where we continuously input all the latest data to ensure full control over the evolution of each job at all times. From acceptance of a commission through to delivery, each translation moves through the following phases:
